Maga cruelty

I didn't realize that when I post something on Facebook that I should change my settings to private. I  came across this yesterday when I realized my post about Stephen Colbert's show was ending.  It had been shared 19 times and I thought wow.  Why would people do that?  I think most of it was positive.  People weren't happy.  One person shared with the caption Letterman is an idiot.

Well he wouldn't disagree.  It was just kind of jarring to have someone take a post that talked about my loneliness and how I found comfort in watching these shows growing up.  It just felt so cruel.  I can't take it personal.  This is the internet.

Really.  Anyone who is off social media is my hero.  I'm not on much myself and this will definitely help keep me off for my own sanity.

People are just cruel.

So Here's the Weekend

 I was having a wishful thinking moment last night when I was writing my postcards.  I was wishing for my imaginary friend that has shades of Stephen Colbert mixed in to show up and go for a walk on this humid July night.  We would talk and maybe check out the food trucks that were at the Farmer's Market last night.  Maybe they would be ok.  Maybe they wouldn't.  We would be getting out of the house and just talking about how our week went for both of us. Maybe we would stop at Pick n' Save and get my mom something she asked for.  He would always know how to talk to my mom and he would be someone she's really comfortable around like Charlie.  We would maybe see Charlie mowing the lawn on his usual Friday night task and talk to him. Feeling a bit used

About a month ago, the diva had an incident with the lurker.  They were asked to document other incidents and the diva had sent me a copy.  I scanned it.  It was small print but I thought wow.  She really documented in a whole chart. I printed it up to take a closer look tonight and I was bothered by what I read.  I only skimmed it on my phone but looking at it on page in front of me in bigger print was a whole different story.  Crazy story telling and my name is in there.  I thought don't speak for me, diva!  Keep my name out of your mouth!  Sigh.  I feel used for some strange reason.  Used me for learning the basic and now I've been kicked to the curb.  This is familiar territory.   Usually when people say I can't stand drama, they love it.  They're the ones starting it.   This is why I have walls up and I don't want to have walls up.  I kind of thought maybe this is someone that I can be friendl...

Flipping the Script

I felt like Debbie Downer last night when I went to bed.  There's actually some really good things happening. I think this young couple will make this a more livable place.  Charlie talked about the insulation and how once they fix it, it might change our heating and electrical bill.  That would be wonderful. After 9 plus years of the previous landlord, we'll call him The Great Fava, if he did something, we were going to pay for it.  I guess that's where my mind started with the worrying. I asked my niece what authors Charlotte likes and she mentioned Mo Willems.  I wanted some ideas for her birthday in early August.  I stopped at Boswell Books and found Mo's collection of books and bought one.  It was only $10 and I'll be back to buy a couple more this summer. I looked at the book and it just made me smile.  I'm so happy so loves books and I love supporting a small business like Boswell. I get $5 off my next book so I am more than glad to buy lit...
