Not Having it Today
No dancing in the rain today. This is solid messy rain. I figured I can at least get a few errands done this morning and try again tomorrow. I did the usual. Picked up litter for the queen. Got a few basics that we needed. I thought I'd stop and get a sheet of postcard stamps at the West Milwaukee post office. Sometimes they have them. Sometimes they don't. I thought if they don't, I'll get a book of stamps since I have letters to write. It didn't matter. I made the mistake of stepping towards one window and the woman put her hand up and motioned to the sign. It said wait to be called. I apologized and stepped back. I wasn't paying attention. My mistake. I stepped back for a moment and walked out. I could see both clerks looking at me. I didn't do an angry walk. I just left. Why? I just didn't feel like it today.
