Make Me Smile Virginia and New Jersey

Let's try this again.  It's election day and even though these aren't presidential elections, they're important.  All of them are.  I am hoping for wins in New Jersey, Virginia, Pennsylvania, California and for a guy named Momdani.  Did I spell his name right?  I hope it's the start of a comeback.  Nervous but kind of feeling like the true believer might be here somewhere.  

I can't believe the cruelty people have about the SNAP issue.  If you can get your nails done, then you can get a job.  How racist and just biased people are regarding anyone that gets some type of financial help.  We were doing fine until the big rent increase in 2023.  Don't judge people and just shut up.  I sat in an audit with an attorney years ago where they went over files.  The managing attorney was a complete asshole and made fun of one of the plaintiffs who had fibromyalgia.  He said is she fat?  How many cats does she have?  My mom has fibromyalgia and she's not fat.  Our cat was but still.  How ignorant.  When I told someone about it, their excuse was, well, they didn't know your mom has fibromyalgia.  That's not the point.  It was just an ignorant generalization.  Moron.

Well the diva is out for a week.  Yeah. I had to take a look.  It's for a sad reason and you would think that she would stay offline and maybe deal with other issues but no, she's still making her videos and lamenting about pilates classes.  I do have sympathy for why she's off.  The problem is she demands it from the group and we do walk on eggshells.  She won't hesitate to lash out at others.  If you want empathy, sympathy, show it for others.  Quit demanding us to show you the respect you won't show for the rest of us.   I was apologetic about the time I missed last spring between a health scare and not knowing where I'm going to live.  Instead, she bitches about me having time off again because I have family in town.  She's a diva.

One more day and well I'm just not going to get what I need to get done today and I have made my peace with it.  I will do my best and once Monday rolls around, I'll dig my way out.  This time is needed off.  I made an appointment for my hair cut, my eyebrow waxing and to get an oil change.  I guess I'm the diva now, aren't I?  All three things are actually badly needed, starting to get that one eyebrow look again.

Oh well.  I hope the good humans have a good day.

Way Past My Bedtime

 I crashed before Reverend Raphael Warnock's speech.  The power of DVR saved me. I watched it this morning right up to the point where I had to sign in.  It was fantastic.   Hillary was great.  My mom was crying.  It meant a lot to her to have Hillary win that election and she was crushed. The Dark Things

I sometimes wonder about this when I'm in a brooding mood about how I got treated at a low time in my life.  Or lowest. Would people have been relieved if I just died?   Really.  I have thought the answer was yes.  I'm not talking about my family. I am talking about those who made their discomfort known to me.   They could have had some fake ceremony and a moment of silence.  There wouldn't have been a funeral so they could have forgotten about that part.  They would have excelled at pretending to care about my life if I wasn't here. Then, I had to go do something stupid and survive.  How do we deal with that?  My mentor even mentioned to me, well, you know, none of us have dealt with someone being sick.  Oh, should I get a fucking manual for that?  Excuse the F bomb but that was warranted. So Here's the Weekend

 I was having a wishful thinking moment last night when I was writing my postcards.  I was wishing for my imaginary friend that has shades of Stephen Colbert mixed in to show up and go for a walk on this humid July night.  We would talk and maybe check out the food trucks that were at the Farmer's Market last night.  Maybe they would be ok.  Maybe they wouldn't.  We would be getting out of the house and just talking about how our week went for both of us. Maybe we would stop at Pick n' Save and get my mom something she asked for.  He would always know how to talk to my mom and he would be someone she's really comfortable around like Charlie.  We would maybe see Charlie mowing the lawn on his usual Friday night task and talk to him.
