Reminder - Another Work Day

I had to remind myself last night, there's one more day.  It felt like Friday yesterday and maybe that's because plenty of people are taking time off.  Except me.  That's ok.  I'll have my time later next month.

I dread signing in and seeing my emails because there will be one from the lurker and chances are?  It will make me mad.  I see the interference coming again.  For almost 2 years, I have struggled with my new assignment and I'm happy that I didn't have the interference I used to have with my previous assignment, but tired of the lack of help and the judgment I received from this individual.  I know the cruelty hasn't been limited to me but it doesn't feel great being one of the popular ones in this category.  I'm just when does this end?  It's depressing and it's hard that people are ignoring it.  

I had Nicolle Wallace's show on for a bit and turned it off when it ended.  It's all I can take of that monster in charge.  I miss Lawrence O'Donnell being on vacation this week and Stephen Colbert.  I'm not sure if I can get an updated Covid shot in a few weeks.  Thanks RFK Jr you sick bastard.

I have my test results in but nobody has called me.  I have kind of checked the mail anxiously in case a letter was mailed. I understand I might not be a priority and people are busy.  It's also my life and yeah, I want to know what's going on.  I'm not mad.  I just want to know.  Being in limbo ain't a lot of fun.

I did find a fun documentary to watch last night about Elton John.  We watched his concert on Disney Plus last week.  I love Elton. I think he's wonderful.  I enjoyed the movie they did about his life.  He's so hilarious and he was just what I needed after a long week.  

It's been a long month.  I welcome August because it means summer is ending and the heat but damn, it sure seems to feel like such a long month.

I don't want any trouble from the lurker today.  Stay out of my business please.

 I crashed before Reverend Raphael Warnock's speech.  The power of DVR saved me. I watched it this morning right up to the point where I had to sign in.  It was fantastic.   Hillary was great.  My mom was crying.  It meant a lot to her to have Hillary win that election and she was crushed. The Dark Things

I sometimes wonder about this when I'm in a brooding mood about how I got treated at a low time in my life.  Or lowest. Would people have been relieved if I just died?   Really.  I have thought the answer was yes.  I'm not talking about my family. I am talking about those who made their discomfort known to me.   They could have had some fake ceremony and a moment of silence.  There wouldn't have been a funeral so they could have forgotten about that part.  They would have excelled at pretending to care about my life if I wasn't here. Then, I had to go do something stupid and survive.  How do we deal with that?  My mentor even mentioned to me, well, you know, none of us have dealt with someone being sick.  Oh, should I get a fucking manual for that?  Excuse the F bomb but that was warranted. So Here's the Weekend

 I was having a wishful thinking moment last night when I was writing my postcards.  I was wishing for my imaginary friend that has shades of Stephen Colbert mixed in to show up and go for a walk on this humid July night.  We would talk and maybe check out the food trucks that were at the Farmer's Market last night.  Maybe they would be ok.  Maybe they wouldn't.  We would be getting out of the house and just talking about how our week went for both of us. Maybe we would stop at Pick n' Save and get my mom something she asked for.  He would always know how to talk to my mom and he would be someone she's really comfortable around like Charlie.  We would maybe see Charlie mowing the lawn on his usual Friday night task and talk to him.
