Interesting Monday

Not sure it was a great day, but definitely interesting.

I have been so behind this month and with me being off on Friday, I thought this deposition that I had for confirmation was for tomorrow.  I sent an email asking for confirmation.

Tomorrow turned out to be today and the paralegal I worked with asked me if this message was delayed because the deposition was in process.

I was going to respond and apologize but I've kind of had a month of feeling like an idiot so I thought I'd let him think that this message was delayed.

OMG.  I need to have a day with more clarity and less insanity.  That was bad.

Interesting about our new person and her interaction with the lurker.  They are on the money with the lurker and I opened out how I had been treated and gas lit.  This person has the lurker's number and I think they handled this person beautifully in our chat.  It was kind of a popcorn moment reading it.  They were horrified what happened and wasn't shocked from what they had experienced so far.  It felt good to open up.  I hated to come out and reveal the lurker's past with me, but our new person has got their number.  I'm here for it.

My mom had me pull out the laptop.  We watched Jen Psaki and we have Rachel Maddow on. I said she can't do this all day.  She gets it.  My cousin made her feel better last night.  Well, good.  Glad to hear it.  I worked and finished listening to the rest of The Bulwark episode I started. I didn't turn TV on until the afternoon and turned on Will & Grace. 

When I came back from my walk, I could see the lawn littered with dog poop.  That's so disgusting.  It's just repulsive. I hope they move to a four family so the people that live there wonder why the parking lot is filled with poop.  People will be driving over it.  He's a disgusting person. 

I did not make my phone call today.  I told my mom they're going to have me have my appointment with the dentist that ripped her off years ago.  I will try that again tomorrow.  I hate making phone calls.  Have I said that?  I got more to do, but this one should happen this week.

Here's hoping I don't make any big blunders like I did today.  I know it's been a lot.  It's been a lot of that lately.  If the lurker actually showed up, we wouldn't all be so far behind.

Interesting day though.

The Dark Things

I sometimes wonder about this when I'm in a brooding mood about how I got treated at a low time in my life.  Or lowest. Would people have been relieved if I just died?   Really.  I have thought the answer was yes.  I'm not talking about my family. Blue Evening

We took a drive to see a place in Bay View. I was kind of familiar with the address, but I wasn't sure. I found it.  It was not great. According to my Ring alerts, it's near an area with crime.  It was in our price range. I just can't seem to shake this funk I'm in.

Know Who You Are

 I am struggling a bit with a new work assignment. I've bounced around to working with new groups since the pandemic and it's been alright, but it's been a little difficult with balancing when I just feel off with how much I"m doing.  I have my mojo somedays and somedays I don't know why I gout out of bed.  Today was that day. I got shamed by a mistake.  It wasn't that the person called me, they copied a few people to let me know I. AM. STUPID.  And no, I don't take it personal. It comes with the territory when it comes to the work that I do.  I like being behind the scenes and assisting but it seems to be that my kind can feel the wrath of when things go wrong.  Or sometimes all that we juggle is not enough.  We are the recipient of a bad day if someone has a fight with a spouse or a child and get told, it's better it happened to you than their family member.  Lucky me.
