Still Wondering About that Whole Decency thing

So President Jimmy Carter passed.  He was definitely a decent human being.  I'm surprised he lasted as long as he did.  His son spoke so kindly when Rosalyn passed.  Such nice people and you think, is there anyone else decent like that?  I remember sitting up watching the news with my sister when the hostages were held in Iran.  One of the hostages was from the Milwaukee area at the time.  His mother was kind of obnoxious from what I remembered.   It's a shame that Carter lost re-election.  I think would my dad have fared better with Carter in office.  The Reagan years were not kind to our family financially.

We did turn the news on when I got the news alert.  Sounds like someone wrote Trump's statement.  That's a good thing.  I'm sure he's going to say something offensive at some point.

I was definitely not warm today when I went for my walk by the lake. I feel warm now. I wore a lighter jacket but by Lake Michigan I was damn cold.  Glad to get out of the house this weekend and away from the madness.  It's been a lot.  I kind of missed the running man. Only saw him twice, but still. I could have used a pleasant distraction from life.  Maybe the mirage will appear in the future. I don't know.

We found out that there are two grocery stores that will be opening up in the future but my mom keeps saying We won't be here.  We won't be here.  Well, where are we going?  Where is there a place with affordable rent?  It's making me crazy to hear her say that.  Let's find a place.  Right now, I don't have the money for moving. I was hoping that the money I get in like maybe 2 months?  Could be put in savings and used for an emergency.  Well looks like the emergency is coming up soon.  I hate that guy.  He's just made my life miserable. And his idol will be taking office soon.

I am trying to feel better today.  It's not going so well.

The Dark Things

I sometimes wonder about this when I'm in a brooding mood about how I got treated at a low time in my life.  Or lowest. Would people have been relieved if I just died?   Really.  I have thought the answer was yes.  I'm not talking about my family. Blue Evening

We took a drive to see a place in Bay View. I was kind of familiar with the address, but I wasn't sure. I found it.  It was not great. According to my Ring alerts, it's near an area with crime.  It was in our price range. I just can't seem to shake this funk I'm in.

Know Who You Are

 I am struggling a bit with a new work assignment. I've bounced around to working with new groups since the pandemic and it's been alright, but it's been a little difficult with balancing when I just feel off with how much I"m doing.  I have my mojo somedays and somedays I don't know why I gout out of bed.  Today was that day. I got shamed by a mistake.  It wasn't that the person called me, they copied a few people to let me know I. AM. STUPID.  And no, I don't take it personal. It comes with the territory when it comes to the work that I do.  I like being behind the scenes and assisting but it seems to be that my kind can feel the wrath of when things go wrong.  Or sometimes all that we juggle is not enough.  We are the recipient of a bad day if someone has a fight with a spouse or a child and get told, it's better it happened to you than their family member.  Lucky me.
