Free Day Sunday

No errands to run with mom.  We got them done yesterday.  I'll do my usual thing, pick up a few things, try to Shopkick and go for a walk.  Come home and watch Bravo TV.  A somewhat lazy Sunday.  Hopefully I can see some sweet dogs on my walk to make me smile.  I saw a chocolate labrador yesterday that made me smile.  It was so sweet.  My landlord has a dog like that.  I do miss her.  I guess when they lived here, she would try to come to our door and bump her nose on the handle. I don't think I heard her bark as much as I hear the two downstairs.  I like the dogs downstairs. I don't like the owner though.  

The drip in the bath tub is getting worse.  I just hate that tub.  I have to wash my hair in the sink.  It is an old bath tub and it is probably not a good bath tub for either of us.  We worried if we asked for it to get replaced that we would get a big rent raise.  Well that didn't work out well for us, did it?  If I had to add to my list for Santa, it would be a different bath tub and a bathroom with outlets.  I let my hair eye dry pretty much.  I may go in my room and dry the back but it's a hassle not having outlets in there.  Here's my mom worrying that we might get a bigger increase because we found out taxes went up significantly.  Sigh.  It never ends, does it?

I will get a small cost of living increase and we're all up for raises in early spring and here's hoping it's something that will help this year.  We are going to try to get everyone gift cards from Amazon on Christmas Eve.  We suspect we're getting something from my niece and we just feel like asses for not doing anything for their birthdays.  It's sucked.  Between her falling down the stairs, me getting by a semi and then the whole check getting stolen, it hasn't been easy.  It still crushes me that I wanted to do something nice for my sister on her birthday and send her a card with a gift card for Dollar Tree.  She crafts and she sometimes takes Charlotte to the store in Florida and I think they could get treats or get crafts to make something and that damn girl stole her birthday card.  I hadn't heard anything from the police.  I occasionally look on the court records to see if there's anything on there about check fraud but there's nothing. I think someday she'll get caught but at the moment, she got away with it, I guess.

Here's hoping the good humans have a good day.  I'm going to find a little joy this morning.  Sometimes it helps.
