Driving Ain't for the Feint of Heart
I felt like crying when I drove my mom home from the doctor's office. There was an accident and I said I want to take a side street and avoid it. That was messed up because everyone else had the same idea. Then I could see someone swerving behind me, trying to get around me so I pulled over and let him pass.
We were going to talk to the people at the police station near our house but that's not open to the public. So I called one of the police districts and asked questions. They got me to the sheriff's office and I have 24 hours to file. I got the address of where to go and I will be up and out by 8 tomorrow. When I went online, I thought How do I know if the damage will be more than $1000? I won't know until Thursday. They couldn't take me in today. So I don't know if I have any options but I can try. My mom seems to think it doesn't look too bad. If I can just get the mirror fixed.
I don't why people thinks it's funny to speed or act like an asshole when they drive. I pulled over a second time and I thought it was because I was feeling overly sensitive. The person blew through a stop sign. Ok. I wasn't wrong.
I think did I make a mistake? Was I in the wrong? I saw that part of their semi had a part that was falling off.
About 7 years ago, I was at a stop light and someone slammed into the back of me on my way to work. The guy begged me not to call the cops. My car was fine. I was not. I just kept saying, What's wrong with you? He said he was so sorry and his wife got hit too and he was so sorry. I had many people calling me stupid and telling me I should have called the cops. I never had it happen before.
We saw our neighbor across the alley. He's such a nice guy. He told us the monster's dogs have run into his yard and he kind of figured the monster was a little suspicious.
I was actually beating myself up that this was my fault because I should have just went home. I shouldn't have drove around a bit. I didn't have enough time to go walk the hill. My mom said you should be allowed to drive where you want to drive without someone smacking the hell out of your car.
I'm going to be a big fan of city streets for awhile.
