Working hard for Democracy

I would say I'm mostly done with writing my letters and postcards.  It's been a lot and I've become an obsessive madwoman over the summer months.

I started off the year with Vote Forward and then the Postcards to Swing States along with Vote Riders. I haven't written any letters for Vote Riders lately, but then I picked up postcards for Activate America.  I wrote for Mandela Barnes, Raphael Warnock, Katie Porter, the environment.  Then I wrote postcards for the people behind some environmental organization.

Once I finished with the letters I committed to for Vote Forward, I kept adding to that number.  Same with Postcards to Swing States.

I'm exhausted. I found I have blue ink on my bedding from all the writing I did.  I'm sure I added to the callus on my finger from all the writing.

I started sorting through the packets of postcards I had written for North Carolina for Postcards to Swing States which I will mail on October 17th.  It will feel good to have extra space in my room.  I have filled up bags with letters that I have written since February.

Will I write more?  Well supposedly I have some postcards from the Women's March coming my way.  I'm not sure if I'll ever see them but I wanted to get what I had done, done.  Because it's becoming so much.

Someone called tonight and asked me about voting. I already told them I voted absentee.  They reminded me about what was at stake.

A lot is at stake.  I may take a break.  I got to keep going.

I need more blue pens.
