What's Going on

So many things to say about this last week.  My brain is definitely overstimulated.  I am so looking forward to seeing Corinne and her entourage this week.  I think mom will be happy to see them as well.  We might wind up with a German Shepherd or two if mom had her way.

We said our goodbyes to our company last night. I hope my nephew had a good time. I think Daisy and Kringle definitely had a good time.  Daisy spent most of Friday night on a pillow passed out on my lap snoozing away while I rubbed her belly.  If I didn't have her on my lap, I had Kringle demanding that I brush him.  Meanwhile, Precious was probably plotting ways to get even with me.  Precious did ok with him.  Safe to say that if she didn't clean her dish out, he would come around and finish it.  If he didn't finish his dish, she would finish it for him.  It all worked out.

I see the city of Chicago is now the hot place for ICE.  It's probably good my week was filled with game shows.  What a nightmare things have become. I saw the picture of the reporter from WGN on the ground and it made me sick.  I think she's an editor.  Doesn't matter.  She's a human being that didn't deserve that.

Interesting change with our assignments starting next week.  Mine stay the same but I will have someone working in that area that is not the lurker.  Thank goodness.  It's the Thinker so I'll be spending some time training her and hopefully it turns out better than the diva.  Big difference between the Thinker and the diva.  The Thinker wants to learn.  The diva wants to be important.

I see that in meetings and in group chats where she wants to stand out.  I think the first thing you should do is learn the job and listen to people.  I am getting copied in on emails from a vendor that are sent to her because well, they don't trust her.  They told me point blank.  I really haven't known what to do with that issue because I don't want to start anything but I also know that I should say something at some point especially if this is adding more work for me.

The diva won't have the lurker in her area.  I was a little disappointed to hear that.  The lurker is actually going to an area where she has avoided it.  I feel bad for the vaper because now she has to deal with the lurker's sneakiness.  I think this is where the vaper can step up and it's my hope she will and call it out.  I like that the lurker got taken out of their comfort zone.  It was kind of my goal for someone to see what it's like because it's usually me who gets thrown into these situations.  It'll be an interesting time to see what happens.

Almost a year ago, I thought I'm not doing more postcards or text banks.  I'm done done and done.  I have done a couple of text banks and I definitely have done postcards.  I may not have all the stamps that I need, but I'll get close.  I am so anxious to see what happens in the elections coming up next month.  We need to see a sign that this country will make a comeback.

I want success.  I might have differences with who I vote for but I wish people would realize we all want the same thing - success.  I am worried about some of the changes affecting my mom or myself.  My mom even offered to pay for some of the postcard stamps.  I got most of what I need except for my New Jersey postcards so I may take mom up on her offer.

Last weekend when we went out early to get my mom's prescription we saw protestors out and I beeped the horn and my mom waved at them.  I know Corinne wants to go down to Chicago to protest but then I see pictures of protestors getting taken away in police vans.

This is a scary time for all of us.
