Lady in Lavender Ortholite Shoes

Look for me in my new ortholite shoes.  I had a couple of pairs of Adidas shoes this summer and I thought I should break out the second pair.  Our health and wellness program will cover that and the first pair that I got was fine but pinched my little pinky toe.  These shoes.  I saw Ortholite on the inside of them and laughed.  It's a pretty lavender color and yeah, they feel great.  I feel kind of clunky in them but they felt great walking this morning.  Just look for the old lady in the lavender ortholite shoes.  Thank you Adidas.

My poor mom has been upset about well, you know the guy in the white house.  Sigh.  I didn't think I'd be happy to have her talk to my cousin tonight because I don't know what to tell her.  I asked her if we could put up the holiday stuff once our company leaves in mid October.  I thought some decorations might cheer us both up. I don't give a flying F about my birthday or that other holiday.  Give me democracy back.  Give me sanity back.  This is too much.

When we were in Walmart, I happened to look at my Facebook feed and I showed my mom that another cousin had posted about my cousin's son who was critically injured.  We looked through the pictures and I got teary eyed looking at them.  He has a fiancee.  He has a life.  He had a future.  Now he's paralyzed at 27 and my heart broke at that moment.  My mom had told me that my dad had wanted to see this cousin when he was born.  This is just awful for him.  I shared it on my page in the rare hope that maybe someone would want to donate $5 and Corinne shared it on her page.  She knows more people than I do.  Sigh.  You just wish you could do more for someone like that.

I've been watching Only Murders in the Building this afternoon before my Hulu subscription ends in a couple of weeks.

I'm nervous about changing my insurance agent.  I'm not financing my agent's second home in Florida. I found that out last night when I looked at their website.  Ripping people off with their garbage insurance.  This policy was definitely garbage.

I did my fair share of ShopKicking this weekend and between that and Fetch Rewards that we had $25 off of our grocery bill.  Not too bad.  I can thank the wonderful Metro Market in Shorewood this morning to get me to the magical $25.

I apologize to the good humans for lowering the property values there but at least Lois isn't your neighbor.

I got a lot more walking in today.  It feels good.

Just find me in the rain with my magical ortholite lavender shoes this week.
