Expectations Tuesday

I think the expectations placed on me in my daily life are just unrealistic.  I have to manage it but it is just unrealistic.  I have explained some of the things to Corinne that I deal with and I think she's happy for retirement.  I think this might explain some of my waterworks on Saturday.  I wish I could retire.  I don't have the steam to go through some of my days.  I remind myself that my days are at home and on days that are too overwhelming, I can reach over and pet Precious.  She's already in position on her throne next to my work area.

Seems like the expectations are getting to me when there are checks and reviews.  Little things that are adding up that just worry me when it comes time for a financial review.  I'm just resigning myself that I'll be back to the days of when I was in the office and I got an ok kind of compensation.  I'm just getting older and things are hard to remember.  When someone doesn't listen, it just doesn't help.  Today, I have two instances of time being taken away.  This afternoon might not be so bad because I'll be with people who appreciate me.  This morning might give me a headache.  I'll have to refrain from any Tik Tok jokes.

I saw my new updated stats for my debt.  I have 23.67 paid off now.  That feels pretty good. It shows I have 43 months to go.  That doesn't feel good.  It's ok.  I can start checking balances and I'll feel better seeing progress.

We did turn on the news for awhile when I got the alert about the birthday book.  We had to mute it again when they went on about Trump getting away with things and well, the Supreme Court has become a joke.  It's become his personal bitch.  With the exception of the three liberal justices, the rest are just the orange goon's little lackeys and I'm looking at you John Roberts as being the worst of the bunch.  

Corinne sent me the birthday book.  I'll find it for my mom on her laptop because I know she'll want to do a deep dive with her magnifying glass.  I'm surprised there's a January 6th committee and Democrats are joining as well.  What a waste of time.  At least there might be some good soundbites from the Democrats.  They do have the usual flame throwers like Jasmine Crockett and Jared Moskowitz.  Did Jared Moskowitz show up with a Putin mask for one hearing or am I thinking of Eric Swawell?  Well just play the good soundbites of Jasmine telling everyone off.

 I crashed before Reverend Raphael Warnock's speech.  The power of DVR saved me. I watched it this morning right up to the point where I had to sign in.  It was fantastic.   Hillary was great.  My mom was crying.  It meant a lot to her to have Hillary win that election and she was crushed. The Dark Things

I sometimes wonder about this when I'm in a brooding mood about how I got treated at a low time in my life.  Or lowest. Would people have been relieved if I just died?   Really.  I have thought the answer was yes.  I'm not talking about my family. I am talking about those who made their discomfort known to me.   They could have had some fake ceremony and a moment of silence.  There wouldn't have been a funeral so they could have forgotten about that part.  They would have excelled at pretending to care about my life if I wasn't here. Then, I had to go do something stupid and survive.  How do we deal with that?  My mentor even mentioned to me, well, you know, none of us have dealt with someone being sick.  Oh, should I get a fucking manual for that?  Excuse the F bomb but that was warranted. So Here's the Weekend

 I was having a wishful thinking moment last night when I was writing my postcards.  I was wishing for my imaginary friend that has shades of Stephen Colbert mixed in to show up and go for a walk on this humid July night.  We would talk and maybe check out the food trucks that were at the Farmer's Market last night.  Maybe they would be ok.  Maybe they wouldn't.  We would be getting out of the house and just talking about how our week went for both of us. Maybe we would stop at Pick n' Save and get my mom something she asked for.  He would always know how to talk to my mom and he would be someone she's really comfortable around like Charlie.  We would maybe see Charlie mowing the lawn on his usual Friday night task and talk to him.
