Calm Friday

I haven't really thought much about work and well, that's a good thing. I have hoped that someone has gotten mad that people aren't picking up the work that I would take.  Yeah, that's bad, I know.  It always seems like someone is really grateful that I have returned.  Barry used to show up in my cubicle and act like he got beat up by asking anyone for help.  Nobody likes to take on extra work when someone is gone but people have time off.  Grow up people.  I'm sure the diva is mad.  She always seems to be mad when it's me and I think you went on a big trip when you started.  I believe she has another week off next month.  I'm not saying anything because I welcome the break from her complaining.  I'm sure someone in my group will be mad at me and I'm guessing she'll be the one.  Sorry to interrupt your social media time - NOT.  Answer your phone when someone calls for crying out loud.  

I have my appointment this morning and I'll be parking about a mile away so I don't have to pay for parking.  That's my extravagant time off.  I figured the walking will work out with my plan to move more this week and it's a nice day.  Save money on stupid parking.  For the life of me, I seem to struggle with getting my debit card into the parking slot when I'm trying to pay.  Then the panic sets in and then with maybe four minutes left until my appointment starts and then I got to hustle the three blocks over to the school.  I'll get there in plenty of time and take a walk through downtown Milwaukee on the winding days of my staycation.

I'm not shocked that Fanta Fascist is going after his enemies but it's a little surreal to see it happening.  My mom couldn't figure out who the other person it was that he was ready to have indicted. I asked if it was the escalator?  That's just ridiculous.  You see Melania booking up those stairs anxious to get away from him.  You can still help us Melania.  Sigh.  I watched a clip of Don Lemon talking about why some Democrats won't endorse Zohran Mamdani.  He encouraged people to vote uncommitted.  He didn't endorse Kamala even though he did vote.  Ohhhhh, I get it.  Yeah, that doesn't make me happy to hear that.  I hope he wins but save your breath on getting others to endorse you.  How is this working out with the uncommitted movement?  Sigh.  Maybe if we gave Kamala a chance, she would have helped with the two state solution.  I'll say it again. I don't know enough about the Israel and Palestine conflict.  I'm for people not getting hurt.  Voting uncommitted hurt us as well.  I applaud Mamdani for wanting to make life affordable but hearing about why people aren't endorsing him makes me want to throw the middle finger at him.  I'll take him over Cuomo any day though.  

I left a review for Secura Insurance about the horrible way that I was treated last year. I got a response and they gave me an email to send feedback to regarding what happened.  I thought I did this already and when I found the email I sent, it was for the same address. I added an update to my review about that.  Yes, I did send another email or forwarded the one I sent a year ago.  Do I expect anything?  No.  What a joke.  Send your feedback to the email that you sent feedback to a year ago.  Great business practices.  I'm so glad that they're not carrying personal lines insurance anymore. I would have stayed with them and I probably would have had another big increase come next week.  

I was looking for Robert Redford movies to watch on streaming.  There's one with Jane Fonda that was not too long ago but damn.  All of them are for rent or buying.  I might go to the library to get some. I miss that guy.  Him and Paul Newman.  They made me have an appreciation for older actors.  They were both so cool. I have seen a lot of his movies over the years.  He was just a fantastic actor and director. What a great loss.

I hope the good humans have a good day.  I hope I see another butterfly.

 I crashed before Reverend Raphael Warnock's speech.  The power of DVR saved me. I watched it this morning right up to the point where I had to sign in.  It was fantastic.   Hillary was great.  My mom was crying.  It meant a lot to her to have Hillary win that election and she was crushed. The Dark Things

I sometimes wonder about this when I'm in a brooding mood about how I got treated at a low time in my life.  Or lowest. Would people have been relieved if I just died?   Really.  I have thought the answer was yes.  I'm not talking about my family. I am talking about those who made their discomfort known to me.   They could have had some fake ceremony and a moment of silence.  There wouldn't have been a funeral so they could have forgotten about that part.  They would have excelled at pretending to care about my life if I wasn't here. Then, I had to go do something stupid and survive.  How do we deal with that?  My mentor even mentioned to me, well, you know, none of us have dealt with someone being sick.  Oh, should I get a fucking manual for that?  Excuse the F bomb but that was warranted. So Here's the Weekend

 I was having a wishful thinking moment last night when I was writing my postcards.  I was wishing for my imaginary friend that has shades of Stephen Colbert mixed in to show up and go for a walk on this humid July night.  We would talk and maybe check out the food trucks that were at the Farmer's Market last night.  Maybe they would be ok.  Maybe they wouldn't.  We would be getting out of the house and just talking about how our week went for both of us. Maybe we would stop at Pick n' Save and get my mom something she asked for.  He would always know how to talk to my mom and he would be someone she's really comfortable around like Charlie.  We would maybe see Charlie mowing the lawn on his usual Friday night task and talk to him.
