Not Much to Do on a Monday

 Glad I am not working today.  I normally take off on Fridays because it's a quieter day.  I'll deal with the wrath of my emails tomorrow.  

Someone got brushed and they're a happy girl.  And they got cream cheese at 5:00 this morning even though I went back to bed.  As long as she's happy.

Hoping my mom gets out of her funk with the landlord.  I swear I'll choke him with a pair of leggings if he comes by with a hard luck story.  I got one too. I rent from him and have to listen to his hard luck stories.

There was a character on the Muppets when they were on Saturday Night Live the first season and my mom referenced this character who knows everything.  She said that's our landlord - the great Fava.  I watched the episodes where they went to see this statute that knows everything and thought Ok. I get it.  It's actually the Great Favog.  That's our landlord.  He knows everything.  He probably tells his doctor about the research he did on the internet.  Sigh.  He likes to do that folksy wisdom on everyone.   Yeah.  He's a Fava.  

I was interested in the four family that we drove by that's not that far from where we live.  It's on a quiet street and there's maybe one other four family in the neighborhood.  It just looks peaceful.  I wondered about the sign that this guy had about Got Cash?  We buy houses.  I filled out the forms and left my cell phone number and her email.  We haven't heard back.  He had another place not that far from this one and when we saw that there were showings, we showed up and found two other people waiting.  Nobody showed up.  Kind of weird. Not in a JD Vance weird.  Just odd.

I will go take a drive and walk the hill again.  I'm almost done with Adam Kinzinger's book on Audible.  I got a lot of steps in yesterday and that's a good thing.  I am hoping to do it more when I have time off at the end of September.  Maybe that'll be the jump start to help me lose weight.  I do drool when I see Halloween candy being put out but I keep walking.  

I hope the good humans have a good Monday.

I sometimes wonder about this when I'm in a brooding mood about how I got treated at a low time in my life.  Or lowest. Blue Evening

We took a drive to see a place in Bay View. I was kind of familiar with the address, but I wasn't sure. I found it.  It was not great. According to my Ring alerts, it's near an area with crime.  It was in our price range. I just can't seem to shake this funk I'm in.

Know Who You Are

 I am struggling a bit with a new work assignment. I've bounced around to working with new groups since the pandemic and it's been alright, but it's been a little difficult with balancing when I just feel off with how much I"m doing.  I have my mojo somedays and somedays I don't know why I gout out of bed.  Today was that day. I got shamed by a mistake.  It wasn't that the person called me, they copied a few people to let me know I. AM. STUPID.  And no, I don't take it personal. It comes with the territory when it comes to the work that I do.  I like being behind the scenes and assisting but it seems to be that my kind can feel the wrath of when things go wrong.  Or sometimes all that we juggle is not enough.  We are the recipient of a bad day if someone has a fight with a spouse or a child and get told, it's better it happened to you than their family member.  Lucky me.
