A Better Day even if I saw the Monster down below
I felt like I had cartoon blue birds surrounding me singing happy songs this morning. It seemed like everywhere I went people were in a good mood. It wasn't just me. It just felt good to enjoy food again. I still love cottage cheese but not for breakfast lunch and dinner. Felt so good to be able to eat normal. I loved it. When I went into the Starbucks, someone held the door open for me and I thanked them. I moved around a woman that had her little girl in a stroller and apologized. I said no need to, you're fine. She had her hands full and she did when she got her order so I got the doors for me when we left at the same time and thanked me. I held it open for someone else who walked in and they thanked me and wished me to have a wonderful day.
What planet was I on? It was really nice. I responded in kind as well. It was just a nice morning.
No, I know maybe three days from now I'll be in a funk but I'll take those mornings when I can get them. It was a productive morning and I felt good. I got my steps in too.
My mom and I went to find the Air BnB that my sister and niece got for the week after the fourth of July. Not that far from where we are and near the Milwaukee and Wauwatosa neighborhood. Very nice and lovely. I wished there were rentals there. Nothing is affordable for us. Yeah. I'm still worried about housing. I still worry about something looming over us that may drop on our heads, but for now, we're ok and it's one day at a time.
Before we left, I told her that the Monster had his dogs outside. She said too bad, he can go in the house if he doesn't like it. I followed her lead and went outside. I had trouble locking the door and she was outside saying hello to one of the dogs, Iggy. She is so sweet and kind. She's so happy to see us. I love her. I came outside and the other dog, Leelo was on a leash and turned to come towards us. The monster walked across the grass and turned his back towards us, trying to call Iggy over but Iggy was trying to follow me to the garage. She ran out a different day when she saw me in the alley headed back to our place and greeted me until she heard the monster yell for her. The monster just turned his back to us and ignored us. Good.
In two weeks, he has a contempt hearing for the money he never paid back. I highly doubt he'll show up. On Thursday, I could hear the monster yelling at his dogs to get in. It was quiet for a few minutes and when I glanced out my window, my landlord was in the backyard looking around and headed to the garage. Maybe he'll see the monster's garbage including the Pink Pather posters he probably stole off of a curb. I suspect the Monster he was hiding because the dogs were quiet. The next few weeks might turn out to be interesting. I hold no hope but my curiosity is anxious to see what happens.
Speaking of monsters, Governor Kristi Noem is one. How can she kill her puppy and then a goat that smelled like that? What a horrible person. Perfect Vice President pick for Trump.
As frustrated as I get with the dogs constantly barking all day, I would never call animal control or any service that could put them in danger. I think they belong in a better home and worry about how careless he is that he left his own side door unlocked and they came out to greet me. He would be angry if he knew that we had both dogs in our apartment and played with them. We snuggled with Iggy and rubbed her belly. I walked them both down and it broke my heart to shoo them back in that day. I closed the door and never said anything because he's so mentally unstable.
Those dogs deserve better.
