Tough Day on the Emotions

 Well it was more like a tough night on the emotions.  The day went just fine.  It was the night when you think you can relax and you see what's happening in the news. You don't even have to turn on the news.  You can just take a peek at Threads and see what's happening.

I'm so sick of the 2020 election lying.  Now two good senators from Georgia are going to be called illegitimate.  Sigh.  I think that just broke me.  When does this stop?

I remember that election and getting excited that there was a possibility that Georgia could go to these two really decent humans.  My mom had left me a note that Jon Ossoff's race wasn't called yet but was leaning towards him.  Then we had January 6th to take it away.

The first time I ever text banked was for Raphael Warnock's re-election.  I was so excited when they called the race for him.  

I'm just tired of lying being acceptable.  It got to me last night.  They flood the zone with this stuff and traumatize you.

It worked well last night.

Today is a new day.  I hope it's better for all of us.

So Here's the Weekend

 I was having a wishful thinking moment last night when I was writing my postcards.  I was wishing for my imaginary friend that has shades of Stephen Colbert mixed in to show up and go for a walk on this humid July night.  We would talk and maybe check out the food trucks that were at the Farmer's Market last night.  Maybe they would be ok.  Maybe they wouldn't.  We would be getting out of the house and just talking about how our week went for both of us. Feeling a bit used

About a month ago, the diva had an incident with the lurker.  They were asked to document other incidents and the diva had sent me a copy.  I scanned it.  It was small print but I thought wow.  She really documented in a whole chart. I printed it up to take a closer look tonight and I was bothered by what I read.  I only skimmed it on my phone but looking at it on page in front of me in bigger print was a whole different story.  Crazy story telling and my name is in there.  I thought don't speak for me, diva!  Keep my name out of your mouth!  Sigh.  I feel used for some strange reason.  Used me for learning the basic and now I've been kicked to the curb.  This is familiar territory.   Usually when people say I can't stand drama, they love it.  They're the ones starting it.   This is why I have walls up and I don't want to have walls up.  I kind of thought maybe this is someone that I can be friendl...

Flipping the Script

I felt like Debbie Downer last night when I went to bed.  There's actually some really good things happening. I think this young couple will make this a more livable place.  Charlie talked about the insulation and how once they fix it, it might change our heating and electrical bill.  That would be wonderful. After 9 plus years of the previous landlord, we'll call him The Great Fava, if he did something, we were going to pay for it.  I guess that's where my mind started with the worrying. I asked my niece what authors Charlotte likes and she mentioned Mo Willems.  I wanted some ideas for her birthday in early August.  I stopped at Boswell Books and found Mo's collection of books and bought one.  It was only $10 and I'll be back to buy a couple more this summer. I looked at the book and it just made me smile.  I'm so happy so loves books and I love supporting a small business like Boswell. I get $5 off my next book so I am more than glad to buy lit...
