Fairwell Farwell

That was a no on the apartment building I found this morning.  Actually I didn't find it until noon. I don't know what was wrong with me this morning. I must have twisted brain when it comes to numbers.

Initially I parked at the Shorewood library thinking it was a block or two away.  It was!  I put the wrong address into my phone and I thought 8 minutes away by car?  I thought this is a hard no with all the one way streets and in the heart of college hell.  I was basically driving around in circles like a dope.

I pulled over and searched my phone. I had the 4 and the 2 twisted.  Big difference in neighborhoods and I found it.  Not a bad building.  Not a good choice for us and especially with $75 for parking.  Nice neighborhood but the building wasn't that great. Onward and downwards it feels.

My mom feels like our landlord made us homeless.  She looked like she was going to cry a few times tonight and I tried to distract her with some offhanded joke.  I hate that guy.  I really hate him.  He was here today for a few hours and he never bothered to show his face upstairs.  Thank goodness.

I emailed a place in Cudahy for apartments that got really good reviews.  It will be a hardship financially but it's gotten good reviews and looks nicer.  I wouldn't mind being closer to the lake.  It doesn't matter where I live anymore.

I just don't want anyone bullying us.  This is too much.

If the universe is listening, I need a sign that it will be ok.
