Two Steps Forward Too Many Count to go back
I got my hair cut and I got my mom's homestead paperwork mailed. If anything got done, I can say that got done.
The hair cut was kind of funny. It's been four months since I went to the school and my mom had done her thing with the scissors in early December. I just needed the length cut and the bangs looked a little off but not horrible. No vacuum cleaners or bowls were used. She couldn't stop laughing when she didn't so therefore I won't be visiting her again at the Salon of the Half Blind.
The student who cut my hair looked puzzled about something with my length. She asked me if I go to the school normally for hair cuts and I said yes, I do. I hadn't thought about the visit to Mom's Salon of the Half Blind until she called her instructor over and they looked at the length on one side. I guess there was one section that was maybe shorter than the other. Big deal. The student told the instructor that another student did it. I played along. Snitches get stitches. I wasn't going to tattle on my mom. I said it's really ok if a little bit more gets taken off all around. My hair was a lot shorter for a long time so it's not a big deal to me, but it gave me a good laugh when I came home and told my mom that I blamed her hair cutting skills on another student. If they wouldn't cancel on me, I wouldn't have to resort to a senior citizen with vision issues. Duh.
I got my mom's paperwork mailed for her Homestead refund. I kept trying all week and every time I tried the post office at West Milwaukee, the line would be out in the parking lot. It felt good to get two things done.
Actually three things were accomplished. I made an appointment. I prefer doing the whole online thing. It makes me feel like I'm calling a boy to ask him to go to a movie, even if it's for an eye doctor appointment. Just makes me nervous. I was happy I couldn't get in until April. I'm never in a rush for medical. Funny thing is, I'm normally inundated with text messages or an email so I thought I'd look online. I know I have one other appointment in March but it didn't show up when I went on the website. I wouldn't care but because I showed up on the wrong day for this particular doctor, I'm not in the mood to do a repeat and look like a jackass.
So there's one credit card that my mom has an account on that is just a pain in the ass to sign into each month. I have an account as well and I don't miss going online to pay my bill each month now that I signed up for credit card jail and someone else handles it. I called and found out from our snafu from Sunday prompted the creditor to put it on hold and on a restriction. Tomorrow morning, I will be looking for a UPS store and go back to 1995 to fax her information so she can get off the naughty list and see how much she owes. What the ________________?
I watched part of Nicole Wallace's show from Tuesday with Harry Dunn and Michael Fanone. I just want to give Harry Dunn a hug. He is just heartbreaking. I turned the show off after that segment. I see Dr. Faucci had his security detail pulled as well. Yeah. Someone is going to get hurt. I hope everyone enjoys the price of eggs when that happens.
And John Fetterman has become a joke. He's no longer my fashion role model. I don't want to be a Fetterman slob next summer. It's one thing if you want to rationalize and speak for the people with someone even as loony as FOTUS but to put through Pete Hegseth? Way to watch out for women's rights you slobby jerk.
I am getting my hair colored in a few weeks but if I run low on cash, maybe I'll be Cartoon Villain for this summer. Apparently I'm getting some silver. I don't mind it, but I'm kind of wanting to put some purple and blue streaks in it so maybe the militia groups think I'm one of them. Or maybe not.
I'm just trying to survive.
