Getting some hope back with Michelle Obama

I just finished watching Michelle Obama speaking as well as Kamala.  Michelle is the closer.  She knows how to send a message articulately and effectively.

I still can't believe that Trump is coming to Milwaukee next Friday. I signed up for rally tickets as Seemo Butz.  I'm sorry, I watched too many Simpsons shows and the naughty 10 year old came out in me.  My birthday is the next day.   Some crappy early birthday present.  I'll see bronzer on the streets when I walk.  Gross.  Corinne thought it was hysterical.  Like really?  Me doing that is going to affect his stupid rally.  I'm sure they can find two idiots who would love to see his hate show.  

I like that young woman Hadley who does the commercial about women's rights.  That little girl deserved to be protected.  She is a role model.  Ivanka Trump is not.  

Today, I guess the Jehovah Witnesses came back to see me.  Sigh.  My mom called me while I was out this morning to tell me that they came to see me.  What did I tell you mom about answering the door?  She thought it was our landlord.  He would call to tell us and he has a key.  She told them that I moved and they told her that they knew she was taking care of her elderly mother.  They tried to talk to my mom and she just closed the door.  She said next time she'll tell them I'm at a women's prison for killing her mom.

I don't mean to mock any religion but that well, that's my mom.  She thought it was funny that I called her elderly.  I said it's funnier that she's answering the door in the future.  She was ready to shoo away the little stripper girl that showed up yesterday.   As far as the witnesses go, why?  I tried to be nice and patient.  I spoke about politics which I know they don't like.  I knew someone who used to show up at the door naked to talk about science.  I'm not doing that.  They'd still show come back.

We saw the neighbor that ignored us and wouldn't help us when we asked him.  What did we do?  The same.  He stopped what he was doing and watched us.  I looked at my phone and my mom ignored him.  He even told my mom once that she should move.  I suspect he's the one that threw out the rat poison.  He was happy that people died from Covid because he got over 3 grand.

I think I know who he voted for.

 I crashed before Reverend Raphael Warnock's speech.  The power of DVR saved me. I watched it this morning right up to the point where I had to sign in.  It was fantastic.   Hillary was great.  My mom was crying.  It meant a lot to her to have Hillary win that election and she was crushed. The Dark Things

I sometimes wonder about this when I'm in a brooding mood about how I got treated at a low time in my life.  Or lowest. Would people have been relieved if I just died?   Really.  I have thought the answer was yes.  I'm not talking about my family. I am talking about those who made their discomfort known to me.   They could have had some fake ceremony and a moment of silence.  There wouldn't have been a funeral so they could have forgotten about that part.  They would have excelled at pretending to care about my life if I wasn't here. Then, I had to go do something stupid and survive.  How do we deal with that?  My mentor even mentioned to me, well, you know, none of us have dealt with someone being sick.  Oh, should I get a fucking manual for that?  Excuse the F bomb but that was warranted. So Here's the Weekend

 I was having a wishful thinking moment last night when I was writing my postcards.  I was wishing for my imaginary friend that has shades of Stephen Colbert mixed in to show up and go for a walk on this humid July night.  We would talk and maybe check out the food trucks that were at the Farmer's Market last night.  Maybe they would be ok.  Maybe they wouldn't.  We would be getting out of the house and just talking about how our week went for both of us. Maybe we would stop at Pick n' Save and get my mom something she asked for.  He would always know how to talk to my mom and he would be someone she's really comfortable around like Charlie.  We would maybe see Charlie mowing the lawn on his usual Friday night task and talk to him.
