Changing Things Up
I have my routine or have on the weekends for the most part. Go hit a few stores, then go take a drive over to Lake Michigan and go for a walk. Then go home and maybe I'd take my mom for our big grocery store trip. Repeat and repeat. I repeat myself a lot. I am aware of that. I am aware of that.
We did go to a couple of stores in the morning. She liked the idea of having the place to herself for the afternoon. Really? Got a secret boyfriend I don't know about? She is normally the late sleeper and sometimes wake up time will be when I get home at 11:00 in the morning. I know she keeps odd hours sometimes but she's usually upset that she slept so late.
I drove to my spot and walked the hill while listening to my Audible pick, Jennifer Grey's book. She was kind of a slut when she was a teen. Holy smokes was she ever and into the coke. It's a delicious listen, I'll say that and I always knew Matthew Broderick was a 65 year old man in disguise. Ferris Bueller is one of my favorites.
I did watch some of the show my sister recommended and got through a couple more episodes. It's a light romantic comedy. He's a rabbi, she's a podcaster that talks about sex. Makes sense, right? I am learning what some words mean like mitzvah means good deed? That's kind of cool. I'm afraid the length of my familiarity with language associated with the Jewish community is Mazel and Andy Cohen. Yeah, I'm ashamed. Good show. I'll watch more tomorrow.
I stopped at a Dollar Tree in my old neighborhood for a couple of things and noticed the Christmas decorations out, or as I'm going to say or try to say going forward, holiday decorations. I liked seeing the Halloween stuff. I don't care for the gory stuff, but I do like seeing the cute spooky cat decorations or ghosts. Nothing with a decapitated head.
I'm always curious about people with their Halloween costumes. Barry and his wife loved doing their costumes. They were really creative. His wife dressed like Rosario from Will & Grace. She had her maid uniform, Members only jacket and black sneakers. I thought that was great. Barry got mad when I commented on his Evel Knivel outfit one year. He blocked me from seeing the picture on Facebook after I commented that it was nice that he finally had a chest hair. I didn't comment on the picture. I told him, we still kept in touch after he left like months later and he sent me an email letting me know that he was punishing me from his costume by blocking me from seeing the picture. What an ass. Lighten up, Barry.
I look forward to seeing Charlotte's costume. She went as a doughnut last year and what was so funny a couple of kids in the pictures I got showed two kids dressed as cops looking at her. It's a fun time.
I had gotten a message from Corinne that her and her husband may possibly be making a trip to Milwaukee. Her sister needs some paperwork for some trip they may take to Canada. They went to some bison ranch this week. I didn't know there were so many things you could do in Wisconsin. I said we would love to see them. I said hide her dogs because my mom will want to bring them home. I knew they were having problems with their winnebago but I am hoping I can see them. I feel bad that I might not see my sister and brother in-law this fall, but I understand.
It would be nice to see them so I'm not sitting at the computer repeating myself again. Or repeating myself again.
I look forward to seeing Saturday Night live tomorrow. No way will I make it tonight. I live for Weekend Update. Everything else is a crap shot.
It's been a different day.
