An Interesting Day on a Justice Level

I spent the morning walking and listening to Jim Acosta, Don Lemon and Joy Reid talk about the No Kings Protest.  I felt happy and hopeful listening to them.  I felt happy when I saw the people.  I felt like my glimmer of hope was back.

I mailed something for my sister today at the Shorewood post office on my way back. I sent her a text message and joked that I hadn't gone to my neighborhood post office because I don't trust them after the stolen check issue.

I hadn't checked on the woman's court record for awhile.  According to the police like maybe 2 months ago, she had been arrested.  I didn't see anything on the court records.  Today, I did see it.  She is being charged with forgery and her first hearing is in a couple of weeks.  Wow.  Ok.  I like seeing that.

Then I thought of the monster.  Every so often, I'll take a look and see if another lawsuit has been filed.  It seemed futile since it had been about 2 years and he got one dismissed.  I figured I'd see a drunk driving or domestic abuse charge.

There is a new lawsuit against him.  I couldn't believe it.  It got filed this week by the state.  It looks like people got together to file a lawsuit against him for theft by a contractor.  Wow.  It's a Class H felony.  His hearing is on October 30th.  I don't know if he'll get taken in police custody.  This address is listed on the complaint filing.  Great.  I got a feeling someone may knock at our door. I know they have ways to find someone.  I worry that they may scare the guys downstairs and I don't want them to worry.  I want the monster out of everyone's lives.

Wow.  What a day.  Some justice.  Maybe some peace.  What a crazy day.
