Change of Plans

I did walk the hill.  Oh my god did I sweat buckets.  I thought because it was earlier in the morning I would be ok. I was.  Just sweaty.

I changed things up and went for my walk first.  I wanted to see Alex Lasry's house.  No, I didn't throw rocks at it.  After looking at his Instagram yesterday, I thought his house looked familiar and I saw online that he bought some mansion where I walk.  I don't normally walk on that street but I did this morning.  It's a big mansion.  I saw a nice swing out front and definitely signs that someone has three kids.  It's just beautiful.

Still a weenie.  Maybe not.  I normally don't walk on that street and I remembered why.  The sidewalk is kind of uneven and sometimes, I just don't pay attention.  Most times, I'm good at tripping over my own two feet.

I thought it was before 9:30 before the heat kicks in so I should be ok.  Well I was but damn.  That was some serious sweating.

I saw online that T Mobile offers discounts for 55 and older.  I thought maybe I should reconsider and I went in to trade my iPhone in for a new one.  I don't know if I got much of a discount but it was a decent price.  My payment will go up but it won't be in effect until my next billing cycle.

This is a time where I do miss having a credit card.  I needed to pay the activation fee and some other nickel and dime stuff.  Great.  It was $90 but I thought well this is a good thing and it'll be ok.  I was trying to update apps that weren't going because the newer version wasn't compatible with an iPhone 12.  Four years old shouldn't make it feel like it was 100 years old.  If it gets me a discount, then I'm ok with that.

There is a plus side. I do lose Hulu but I get Netflix and Apple TV for free.  I haven't really watched much on Hulu so maybe this is a good thing for now.  If they have any deals at Thanksgiving I'll consider.  That right there with the streaming services helps.  I don't have Apple but I did want to go back to watch Severance.

I'll be spending my day trying to figure out if I have alerts set up ok and notifications.  I didn't realize my Ring app wasn't on the main screen and I set up our camera in the kitchen.  It's nice to have a new iPhone but damn it sucks getting things squared away like buying accessories and updating apps.  I found out that I shouldn't be buying chargers from Amazon because they may not be authentic or compatible?  I got what they were saying.  I've charged my phone and wondered why is it so warm when I'm playing a video game?  That can't be good.  My niece got me a Target gift card at Christmas that I hadn't used yet so maybe a new charger and pop up.

I have a Kamala Harris pop up on the back of my phone.  Oh, that makes me sad.  Would have been nice if I could have updated it with Madam President.  Maybe I'll find a nice cat one instead.  That sucks.

I haven't figured out how to get news alerts and I'm kind of ok with that.  Sounds like the people in Scotland are enjoying the orange stain with protest signs.  Makes me proud of the small percentage I am that's Scottish.

I got a picture of my great niece missing a tooth.  She lost her first tooth before she turns six in another week.  I told my niece to give her a banjo and she can make some money.  Oh, that made me smile.

Well hopefully my new car insurance won't be too much more monthly and I'm kind of hoping that my oncology appointment just goes away.  At least until fall.  I have another big payment coming up with consumer credit counseling.  This is the time of year that I am feeling the pains of no credit cards but I know it's for the best.  My credit score jumped significantly higher in the last year and it'll get better.  Just totally sucks today.

New phone, free Netflix and Apple TV.  Always a positive!
