Mid-Week

I will probably pull up MSNBC on my mom's laptop to hear Kennedy's hearings this morning. I am curious.  Especially after the letter that Caroline Kennedy wrote.  Putting animals in a blender isn't a sign of a stable person.  Welp.  Look at the administration.  

Corinne is now intrigued by Jim Acosta and signed up for his Substack. She thinks CNN sucks. I kind of do now.  I was happy to watch his weekend shows and happier he got a morning show.  She mentioned Andrea Mitchell retiring.  It'll be interesting to see where Jim goes next.  Good for him on standing up for the truth.  

I am hoping that both the monster and his girlfriend leave today. I suspect he'll be home again. I know he's got a work from home set up.  I also know he smokes weed so what a great employee, hey?  I feel like if I make too much noise going up and down the stairs to take recycling out, I worry he's going to come out and scream in the hallway.  I know he hasn't shown any respect for me when it comes to working at home.  At least I'm not in the hallway yelling C___sucker.  My mom?  Maybe if he went on one of his yelling rampages.  She's had enough.

After he screamed we were f-ing see you next Tuesdays and scared the hell out of me, my mom found him outside one day with the dogs and confronted him about what he did.  He said that he was stressed from his job and he thought that we were poisoning his dogs because there was pastry outside the door.  My mom said we would never harm a dog and it wasn't our food outside that.  Hello?  We're not the pigs here that lets our cat crap outside and not clean it up.  She talked to him about screaming the obscenities and asked him and said the C word, how would you like it if we screamed that your girlfriend was a C word?  His response?  I wouldn't like that too much.  Probably because he had already called her that.  This was girlfriend #1 who moved out after 2 years.  I heard her sobbing on more than one occasion.  I'm not sure why since he's such a delight.

I am going not to lose my mind when it comes to the news.  I expected this chaos and I am struggling not to resent people who voted for this because it's probably not too healthy for me.  It's tough.

I sometimes wonder about this when I'm in a brooding mood about how I got treated at a low time in my life.  Or lowest. Would people have been relieved if I just died?   Really.  I have thought the answer was yes.  I'm not talking about my family. We took a drive to see a place in Bay View. I was kind of familiar with the address, but I wasn't sure. I found it.  It was not great. According to my Ring alerts, it's near an area with crime.  It was in our price range. I just can't seem to shake this funk I'm in.

Know Who You Are

 I am struggling a bit with a new work assignment. I've bounced around to working with new groups since the pandemic and it's been alright, but it's been a little difficult with balancing when I just feel off with how much I"m doing.  I have my mojo somedays and somedays I don't know why I gout out of bed.  Today was that day. I got shamed by a mistake.  It wasn't that the person called me, they copied a few people to let me know I. AM. STUPID.  And no, I don't take it personal. It comes with the territory when it comes to the work that I do.  I like being behind the scenes and assisting but it seems to be that my kind can feel the wrath of when things go wrong.  Or sometimes all that we juggle is not enough.  We are the recipient of a bad day if someone has a fight with a spouse or a child and get told, it's better it happened to you than their family member.  Lucky me.
