Fast Friday

 The week flew and it wasn't all bad.  I don't think I'll cringe at the news today.   I do cringe at people saying that this is a banana republic.  I just can't with people's thinking.  If you're getting your news from Tik Tok, I'm just sad for you.  I wondered with having two lawyers on the jury helped with explaining this situation to the other members.  Whether someone is nice or mean, if you broke the law, there are rules in this country.

I am not sure what is going on downstairs with their car.  He had a car for awhile and seemed to disappear before his contempt hearing.  Her car has been gone but we have seen other cars and have wondered, did they get a new one?  I know, too much time on our hands.  This week, my mom had commented about how the washer indicates that there's a light that goes on after 20 washes and it needs cleaning.  We had done about 18 loads and the light came on.  I don't doubt that the monster can pick locks.  He delights in making people paranoid. I heard him that night say to my mom, Are you paranoid?  He was giddy like a child in a candy store that he was upsetting us.  It wouldn't shock me to see him coming downstairs to the basement and monkeying with our stuff.  Today, I'm indifferent and feeling hopeful that there will be justice for the monster at some point.  How can you steal so much money and live the good life like he does?  

My mom had found an apartment complex for 55 and older.  Yeah, that's depressing I'm not eligible for senior housing but if it's safe, I'm keeping an open mind.  I found the reviews.  Not good.  People stealing, bad management, can evict at any time.  What has happened with safe housing?  Do people with secure housing know how lucky they are?

I realized too if I had any ideas of having any spending moments this summer, think again.  I worry about getting another phone call in September hearing how hard I'm making my landlord's life because we are getting cheaper rent.  I actually kind of like my landlord, he was nice when he lived here but when he cries hard up and makes me feel stupid, I'm not a fan and there's not much I can say about it.  

I will buy Miss Charlotte her souvenir at the baseball game.  I got her some sticker books the other night to keep her occupied either here or at their Air BnB.

Here's hoping my emails don't make me scream.  I don't think they will for an afternoon and some people are out on vacation.  Good for them.  

Here's to a good Friday for the good humans.  And for the rest?  Justice will come find you sooner or later, I guess.

 I crashed before Reverend Raphael Warnock's speech.  The power of DVR saved me. I watched it this morning right up to the point where I had to sign in.  It was fantastic.   Hillary was great.  My mom was crying.  It meant a lot to her to have Hillary win that election and she was crushed. The Dark Things

I sometimes wonder about this when I'm in a brooding mood about how I got treated at a low time in my life.  Or lowest. Would people have been relieved if I just died?   Really.  I have thought the answer was yes.  I'm not talking about my family. I am talking about those who made their discomfort known to me.   They could have had some fake ceremony and a moment of silence.  There wouldn't have been a funeral so they could have forgotten about that part.  They would have excelled at pretending to care about my life if I wasn't here. Then, I had to go do something stupid and survive.  How do we deal with that?  My mentor even mentioned to me, well, you know, none of us have dealt with someone being sick.  Oh, should I get a fucking manual for that?  Excuse the F bomb but that was warranted. So Here's the Weekend

 I was having a wishful thinking moment last night when I was writing my postcards.  I was wishing for my imaginary friend that has shades of Stephen Colbert mixed in to show up and go for a walk on this humid July night.  We would talk and maybe check out the food trucks that were at the Farmer's Market last night.  Maybe they would be ok.  Maybe they wouldn't.  We would be getting out of the house and just talking about how our week went for both of us. Maybe we would stop at Pick n' Save and get my mom something she asked for.  He would always know how to talk to my mom and he would be someone she's really comfortable around like Charlie.  We would maybe see Charlie mowing the lawn on his usual Friday night task and talk to him.
